Source and inference

What the records establish

Two service entries

The ledger and counterfoil retain distinct entries for the request and its handling.

Reviewed finding: The discrepancy is supported as an archival observation.

Limit: The entries alone do not establish its cause.

Sources: RA-IR-1961-042-R02, RA-IR-1961-042-R03

Personnel attribution

A witnessed comparison records the discrepancy during Edith Vale's absence.

Reviewed finding: The allegation against Vale is not sustained.

Limit: Correcting the allegation does not explain the order of service.

Sources: RA-IR-1961-042-R04, RA-IR-1961-042-R05

A finding and its limits

The attribution can be corrected.

Consult the reviewed determination

The allegation against Edith Vale is not sustained. The discrepancy was observed independently during her absence. Her original entries remain part of the record.

This finding establishes a correction to the attribution. The cause of the service order remains unestablished in the review.
